2026 Kaohsiung Awards – Hopax Environmental Sustainability Special Award

As one of the most representative art awards in Kaohsiung, the “Kaohsiung Awards” has long fostered deeper artistic dialogue through a diverse award system. This year, it further strengthens the connection between the “Hopax Environmental Sustainability Special Award” and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), demonstrating a forward-looking commitment to critical contemporary issues and public value.

The “Hopax Environmental Sustainability Special Award” this year was presented to artist Chien Li-Yun for her work Diverging Contexts: Forgetting and Writing. Starting from her family’s experience with illness, the work translates lived experiences of everyday life into tangible artistic forms through textual practice and material transformation, echoing the human-centered values emphasized in the SDG of “Good Health and Well-being.”

Hopax has long been dedicated to supporting local culture and advancing sustainability initiatives. Through concrete actions, the company continues to support both the arts and environmental sustainability, working collaboratively with diverse stakeholders to explore more sustainable possibilities for the future.
